In the past few weeks Àgata Alcañiz have been involved in 'A little patch of Ground' project at the Blue Coat arts centre, in Liverpool, as a Manchester Permaculture Network ambassador. In this project, she have been talking to an Inter-generational groups of residents from across Liverpool  about permaculture principles, diversity in growing food and communities, soil, companion plants while altogether the group has made their own planters to grow food in the nice patio in the centre of the Blue Coat. Agata also showed them how to build a wormery and make liquid plant food with comfrey and nettles!

This project has been devised by Ruth Ben-Tovim, from Encounters, and it is part of Liverpool’s creative neighbourhoods programme Four Corners, working with hundreds of people in communities across Liverpool to create high quality participatory arts projects that explore the theme of the environment. The projects culminate at the Bluecoat for a week of exhibitions, performances and one-off events that are part of Liverpool’s Year of the Environment programme, ‘Our City – Our Planet’.
