Wanted practical workshop facilitators, Liverpool

Four Corners 2009   22nd – 29th July

Four Corners at the Bluecoat is a week of FREE environmental events for all ages including hands on exhibitions, performances, films, advice, information, practical living workshops, family art activities and food.

We are looking for experienced people to run practical living workshops as part of this week on Sat/ Sun July 26/27th Below is a shortlist of workshops that ideally we’d like to be able to run. We want to offer a range of hands on workshops that will appeal to all ages/gender. These workshops will take place in a temporary structure that will be situated in the courtyard of the Bluecoat. Workshops are for small groups of people and will change every
1.5 hours so that means we are looking for workshops that run for about one hour that can then be packed away ( with help from us) in half an hour.

Our ideal workshops
•    Making your own Cider, Wine and Cordials from the wild
•    Jammin’ – learn some simple foolproof recipes for seasonal jams, chutneys and preserves
•    How to make a recycled x – hands-on workshop to make a useful and aesthetically pleasing household object from recycled     materials (materials and tools provided)
•    Healing Herbs – salves, remedies soaps and teas from plants and herbs
•    Patch, mend & darn it! – Demonstrations, tips and guidance on repairing and re-newing your wardrobe
•    Saving Seeds/Make your own Wormery – learn some basics about saving your own seeds.  Learn how to make a worm composting system from old tyres in easy steps

There will be a small fee for running the workshop and we will cover the costs of materials/equipment hire. Ideally you’d run your  workshop once on each day.
