Climate Change: A Year from Now

Call to Real Action is co-hosting a public meeting on Tuesday August 4th, from 7pm.
The meeting is called “Climate Change: A Year from Now,” and looks back from August 2010. By then the Council will have released its Climate Change Action Plan (version 1), there will have been a national election in the UK (and presumably a new government) and the Copenhagen Climate Conference will have been and gone. What implications do all these have for people wanting to make Manchester a low-carbon high-resilience place to live and work?
Speakers include Dina Baird of the Stop Climate Coalition, Cllr Richard Cowell of Manchester City Council, and a speaker from Call to Real Action.
The meeting is free, and is held at the Friends Meeting House, 6 Mount St. It will finish by 9.15pm.
More information can be found on the website of the co-hosting organisation- Manchester Climate Forum
